Best fried fish in southern Indiana. It's never greasy, always hot. Their onion rings & and fried cauliflower are great, too.

I've been here twice now. Is it perfect? No. But do its assets outweigh its flaws? Yes! Both times I've gone the food was quickly delivered and the portions were more than plentiful. The fish and shrimp were so crisp and the fries were piping hot. I love fresh food just out of the fryer. The only thing I didn't like was my hush puppy, and because I went during peak hours, some of the tables needed wiped down. However, I still enjoyed the humble atmosphere and access to local news papers as they have copies you can take for free. If you're looking for a quick, low fuss, and deep fried meal, this is the place to go!

Fried seafood is good.slaw sometimes has too much dressing,sometimes is good.cabbage flavor is better spring & fall.

Good fish, and they almost have a good cooked fry. Fries need to be fried at least about 2 minutes longer. For them to be what I would call delicious fries.

The fish was nice thick cod...taste great, and the crinkle cut fries were hot and crisp. The reason I gave the restaurant 3 stars is because the dinning area needs some upkeep...it feels dirty. The bathroom is definitely filthy...no guessing on that. There is one bathroom for men and women...the urinal smelled so strong I wanted to throw up! Next time...if I eat there again at all...my order will be to go.

Tater sauce in packages is nasty! Thinking maybe my fish box for two was overcooked fish kinda rubbery this was the first bad experience I've had in years.

I love to go to Docs, the people behind the counter are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. Let me just say I appreciate that more than you know. You never know what customer has had gone on in their lives that day, thank you!

The cook during the week is the best. They have the best fish ive ever tasted.

The food was greasy. Of course it is fried, but I have had fried food in restaurants that did not sit in a puddle of grease. The hush puppy was cold. It was not hard or tough, just cold. The fish was good but the size of the pieces was small, the lady said 4 ounces so I ordered 2 pieces. Two pieces were plenty but of course they charged more.

Use to Be a Five Star Review. However here lately I been feeling cheated out of the money I spend. The portions are very small depending on who makes your order. 9$ for 3 small pieces of burnt fish just does not seem sufficient. I never see the older guy that drives the New Truck that ask "hows the fish" to tell him my concerns either. Been coming here for years so I am not for sure if this situation is personal or a cutback from a business decesion. HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED!!!

Dock's food truck was in Brandenburg today so we stopped in. Everyone we spoke to ranted about how good their food was and they were doing a steady business. Besides, a food truck in Brandenburg is a rare thing and not to pass up.We ordered shrimp, a fish sandwich, deep-fried mushrooms, deep-fried cauliflower, fried pickles and chicken. Unfortunately, they had sold out of cole slaw. I love a good slaw, especially with seafood.The food came quickly and was tasty. The fried pickles were the bast any of us had tried. The best thing, though, was the fish sandwich. It was two gigantic pieces of what appeared to be cod, perfectly cooked, golden and delicious. The shrimp was tasty as were the veggies. The batter they use is flavourful but doesn't overwhelm the food.We will definitely be coming back next Wednesday. If you're listening, Dock, we are new fans. Keep up the good work.TLDR:. Show up Wednesdays. Order food. Enjoy.

They have really good fish in large portions, not miniced patties.

I haven't been here, for nearly two years. Wow. I really missed the big pieces of fish! Their onion rings, too! I didn't dine in. I ordered to-go. Definitely hit the spot. Such delicious fish. Flakey, white, moist, perfect fish. I've never been a *fry lover,* I've always preferred onion rings, when given a choice. Beer battered onion rings are the very best. High quality food is what you get here. Down to basics, nothing fancy about the place. But, that's exactly how the prices stay low. I'll take that, over museum-like restaurants any day. I go for the food, not what's on the walls, etc. Still, the BEST fish when compared to any other restaurant in New Albany. The bonus, is the price. I'll definitely be back. 😃

The employees are fantastic and friendly. The fish is the best. I can't wait to get moved back to my home town and I can have Docks fish on State St. All the time. Love it... Love it... Love it...
